Hey friends

The title says it all :D I need to paint about 6 ceramic tiles on the entrance to my shop with red gloss so that the customers will notice the step. This is my first time doing such thing and it would be great if you could give me some advice on this, for example Dos and Don'ts and which brand of paint I should go for. I was looking at the following gloss paints so tell me if they are okay.

Many thanks in advance :)

You'll be painting it every week. Just put a sign up "MIND THE STEP".

Done that, there's still quite a few people who do trip which is scary because if they hurt themselves....let's just say it won't be good for business

You can get red tile paint from our local pound shop. Works as well as any other.

Come on guys, where are the replies?? I am guessing Saturday night is a good time to ask for advice on diynot.com :D

get some white/flourescent anti - slip tape and stick 2 lines across the tiles

Great idea, I might actually do that since it'll only take a fraction of time painting however I think red colour might be much more eye-catching than that, don't you think?

Why not get a roll of 3m Hazard Warning Tape. £4.50 per roll
33 metres, keep you going for some time.

Also there is the point if someone trips over the step they could make a claim against you, by using this Hazard Tape you would be complying with your Public Liability Insurance. Include a "mind the step" sign as well
