Hello,

Can anyone give me some advice. I am putting on new pre primed mdf skirting board to newly plastered wall. Would it be easier to paint the boards first (satinwood paint) before gluing them to the walls or paint them after they are put onto the walls? We are having new carpet and floor put down too.

thanks

Generally, it's easier to do the painting before fixing (but after all the cutting's been done) as you avoid all the bending and the risk of picking up dust off the floor which you didn't quite manage to clean up.

Obviously if you do this, you have to make sure the paint is hard enough to handle before you proceed with the fixing.
