I removed paper and some of the emulsion paint has come off form the wall. if i paint over it will show up the very fine patches underneath. Would polycell basecoat help. Or would i be better off using Easifill. Please help anyone

polycell base coat is nasty stuff it just sits there on the walls in a lot of cases you can just peel it off and it sometimes bubbles up when you try and repaint it, i had it in my house i scraped a good 40m2 off b4 reskimming, and if you use it you would sill see the discrepancies of your other paint underneath, your best bet is to use easifill and rub down i've done it in the past and it works fine, also you could try dubbing the discrepancies out with paint b4 repainting

Yes easifill can help you to settle down. After that repaint wall and at least apply 2 coats for finishing. It will remain same for long time.
