Hi all,

I have an electric sliding gate that was installed by previous owners way back in about 2013. It is controlled by an RF remote (the one linked to on Amazon). We haven't closed the gate much because it stops delivery people getting in to leave parcels and letters during the day. However, we've recently had an instance of someone walking in to our back garden looking for things to steal so we have started to close the gate in the evenings and overnight.

I wanted to find a way of automating it based on a schedule and I found the below product from Aliexpress. It seems perfect as it has Tuya and I already have the SmartLife app for my blinds and it works perfectly. The instructions say that I need to press some button (for one second) on the gate receiver to put it in to remote control set up mode but I can't see what button that would be. I've attached two photos. Would anyone know what I need to do? I checked some of the reviews of my current remote on Amazon and bomber also says that you need to press a button on the receiver (it's probably why other people can't get the remote to work) to get that remote to work.

Example of my existing DEA 433.92 RF remote:

Scheduling the gates to close/open would only be compliant if the safety systems ( crush detection etc ) were 100% certain to prevent injury.

Just stopping is not compliant, a person could be trapped and the gate would need to reverse to allow the trapped person to be released.
That reversal need to safe.
Read the HSE publications.
