I have an old Lexmark Z12 printer that i want to connect to my laptop. I've been into my local computer store to get an adaptor for the parallel lead and they quoted me £20. I've just found one of these leads online for £3. Is it possible though that because of the printers age my laptop will not recognise the USB drivers ???

what operating system are you running
The laptop is a Dell Inspiron, it's 3 years old and is running on vista..
i'm sorry but the last driver released was for windows xp, personally i'd cut my losses and buy a new printer the epson sx range is pretty good.
Thanks for the advice, Saved me time and money. New printer it is then.
