Guys,

I've had continual trouble with a Grohe concealed flush unit. After some advice from this forum, I took it out, gave it a clean up and refitted, which worked for a few months. The problem then was the flush v/v not sitting down properly.

Now, it's passing again, and nothing I do seems to sort it. The clear washer on the bottom seems fine, and it seems to sit down fine, but water is just draining out the bottom and down the flush pipe. My local plumbing supplier is even being vague about a replacement.

There's a picture of the unit at the link below. Can anyone advise what might be letting the water drain out, and if I can change this Grohe unit with any other? It fits by pressing in and rotating until it clicks into place.

Thanks for any advice.

Jock

Four possible causes:

1. Overflowing - level set too high.
2. Overflowing - inlet valve not shutting off.
3. Letting water out - flush valve washer worn.
4. Letting water out - debris on seat preventing washer from sealing.
