I'm creating a new patio and planning to do small kerb stones around the edge. These will but up to the existing fence and I'm wondering how I can do a good job without being able to get to the other (neighbor's) side? Is it ok if there isn't much haunching on the rear? The slabs will be on sharp sand.
I'm planning to put mortar between the joints, so it will also be hard to joint those fully, but I guess nobody will see the rear. If I didn't put mortar between the joints then I'd probably end up with weeds coming through
