Patio Pointing Cement Removal

Hi, Patio finished finally.
However when the pointing has dried a few spots of the pointing mixture has gotten on to the slabs, didn't really notice them until they fully cured,
Whats best method for removal bearing in mind they have been down 10 days now.
Have tried a stiff brush and warm water which is lifting some but extremely hard work.
Thought about a wire brush but would this mark the slabs ??
