pea shingle as aggregate in concrete - ok to do?

hi all,

i need to do a bit of filling in round the edges of the base ive just put down, so need to mix a little amount of concrete.

Is pea shingle ok to use as the aggregate in say a 1:2:3 mix? I know it'll be a little 'fine'...
