The 'life and strife' tells me that the indicators don't always work and sometimes, when the headlights are on, the mainbeam flashes on and off. Every time I tried this weekend, could not replicate the fault. But to be fair, I had started by pushing in all the fuses. Indicators and headlight switches are on the same stalk.

Peugeot 206 (2003 MY) Indicators and Mainbeam Fault

Remove the plastic cowls that surround the steering column, and check that the block connector, that pushes onto the indicator stalk, is secure.
If this doesn't sort it, I guess its a new column switch.
