I wanted to remove the battery from my 307cc.

But when I disconnect it the alarm goes off.

But what is powering the alarm when the battery is disconnected?

The alarm may have it's own internal battery, by the sound of it.
Maybe connecting a battery saver (12v transformer) to the leads will keep it silent when you remove the battery?
John :)

To remove the battery, make sure the car is unlocked, window and bonnet open before touching anything.

Should be straightforward to replace without setting off the "reserve" alarm.

May need the new battery to be "coded" to the car afterwards
