peugot 206 engine management light

I think it came on when the battery was exchanged- something to do with not earthing it properly???
Can any1 explain how to get it off?

The lamp may go off on its own accord after a day or so, or you could try disconnecting the battery and reconnecting it again after leaving it for 1/2 hour.
Failing that, a garage with suitable diagnostic equipment will be able to turn the lamp back off for you.
