Hi All,

Just back from a 2 week trip and pilot won't light. Seems to be boiler fault as fan starts, ignition clicks and can see sparking in viewport but pilot won't catch.

Any suggestions?

If so why would it be fine before we went away but happen after being off for a fortnight?

Any help appreciated as cold wife and child not happly campers

Boiler is open vented Saunier Duval Xenon 50FF. No room stat just programmable timer and TRVS. Before going away I just turned off the power and didn't alter anything else (n)

It's a Scrawny Devil, it'll have broken down because it's Sunday...

Sounds very much like a gas related issue, not DIYable I'm afraid

Should be easy to get RGI out today in Manchester.

Then wife and child will be happy bunnies.

Can't give gas advice here - but you did not turn off the gas at he meter before going away, did you?

Thanks for the suggestions gents. RGI called out and pinned it down to a blocked pilot injector. Ticking along nicely now :D
