Pine ceiling

Ive put up a new pine ceiling in my kitchen. Because of the unevenness of the ceiling I find that there are a few conspicuous gaps showing. I need to fill these in somehow.

Im wondering what is the best product to use for this. I thought maybe decorators caulk, but as this is white, ( I think) Im not sure as the pine is being varnished and I need it to blend in.

depends on the gap, but you may be able to use something like this (or your local equivalent). Note that it comes in various timber colours.
