We have an Ideal Minimiser FF 30-80. The CH and water are on a Honeywell ST699 programmer timer but when it is 'off', the pipes near the boiler are hot and there is a noise coming from the boiler. We can hear it in the night. Is this normal? The boiler is about 14 years old and is serviced every year, the last time in July when we were told everything is working well. The boiler is against an outside wall in our integral garage. Could it be frost protection? There is nothing in the instruction book about it.
