Good afternoon,
I have a Honeywell control system with an Ideal boiler that has been working fine until yesterday when I heard a a humming noise even though the ch was off. My husband checked and the pump was still running so he turned it on and off again and that seemed to fix it. It did it again last night so we again turned it on and off again, problem solved or so we thought.

Today, nothing happened when we turned the ch on, although the hot water is working fine, or looks to be as I can hear the boiler kick into life. Any thoughts or things we could try?

As far as I can remember, the pump was changed about 3 years ago at a rough cost of about £275 fitted.

Combi or system boiler?

If combi, which programmer/thermostat have you got?

If system boiler how many motorised valves one 3 port or 2 two ports?

Sounds like you may have a conventional system, however could you confirm this as above? Likely the motorised valve
