I planed some uneven floorboards to get them level in an 1980's house.. standard pine floorboards. For some reason the old underlay had retained moisture, causing them to bow or lift... nothing major, just a mm or three.
Just wondering if i need to seal them, perhaps with a thin floor varnish before the underlay goes on?
(yes, i may also add a thin ply covering)
