Hi all,
I hope everyone is well.
I would be very grateful if anyone could assist or advise me with the following.

I wish to remove a plaster dado rail with as little damage as possible to the surrounding area.

I am hoping to cover the removal area with either 6 or 9mm x 90mm mdf panelling strips,

My thoughts on the removal methods are as follows.

1 grind a thin slit along the top and bottom and knock off with a bolster chisel. (amount of dust is major concern)

2. Try to cut a thin slit again with multi tool.

3. Make a start then sds chisel lengthways with sds chisel

4. Chisel off with various bolster chisels etc.

If anyone has any experience or recommendations of this type of task. I would appreciate any suggestions.

Many thanks in advance for your assistance

Best regards

Glenn
