Plaster peeling off

Hi

Am in the process of decorating an upstairs bedroom. Some of the plaster near the ceiling had been really badly filled/repaired. So I stripped this to the brick and during the removal it seems that the plaster never bonded to the brick.

When I patch this should I use something like Plaster Bonding Agent available from Wickes before plastering.

Any advice would be appreciated

Yes, that would be fine.
Or a bit of diluted PVA will probably work fine also before you plaster/patch - the WBA is not cheap at about £15 a tub the last time I looked.
