Hi
I've had builders come to rewire the electrics in the kitchen.
I've since had another electrician come around as I was slightly weary about their general level of work.
As the cabling was plastered over and not in conduit he was not willing
to issue a certificate as he said it was against regulations for not doing so.
My question is whether this true?
Other thing he picked up on was that electric socket for the washing machine under the worktop. Has to have a fused switch sitting on top of the worktop. Again is this the case?
Any opinions on these two things would be greatly appreciated.
