Hi guys.

Had a strip skim coat crack between a doorframe and corner of the wall (about an inch and a half wide). Im assuming it dried out too quickly as it is a small area and i did it on a hot day. As it was already flush with the doorframe i didnt want to mesh over and re skim so i tried digging the cracked layer off, however it has damaged the plasterboard underneath.

What would be the best way to plaster over this? Im thinking PVA over the plasterboard, stick some scrim tape over it and then re-skim?

If you look at the pics attached there is some loose paper, i didnt want to cut this off as it has the mesh stuck to it for the corner of the wall. Will the PVA re stick this down?

Thanks
