plastering upto corners

Can anybody help, I want skim a wall, but I don't want to plaster the window reveal, what can i use as a straight edge, I was going to use renderstop but the profile is to deep for the coat, anyone got any other suggestions.

pva and skim upto the existing beads.

if you intend to do the full wall what earthly reason not to pull in the reveals at the same time. Then use skim beads and save on any hassle
