i know probably somewhere there is already the answer to my question but cant find it.
i live in a flat the roof of an old victorian house, it is lathe and plaster. the condition seems to vary from hanging off or missing, through connected but easily pushed to crack to in some places not too bad. the roof seems to move quite a lot in some places and there are large cracks/ ruptures. most of the flat is papered and painted. i have had conflicting advice from friends, builders and plasterers,
take of paper, repair patch missing bits and reskim,
take off everything lathe plaster and reboard with 12.5
screw 9mm plasterboard right over the tip of everything and replaster, or dry wall it??
any advice i want the best possible finish that will resist future crackinig.
cheers jon
