Hi guys.
A person has asked me to install three new rads to his extension and i have bought a coil of 22 mm. barrier pipes for the first time. I find it quite a pain to try and straighten them. I was wondering what you think about it or if you have any tips on how to use them at best......i am wasting more time with them than with copper pipes!!!while i should be saving time. Thank you for your inputs.

I HATE it: unuseable. I only buy plastic pipe in 2M or 3M lengths.

I only use 22mm plastic in lofts or under floors where I can get plenty of clips on, then drop to 15 or 10 for drops, and use copper for any visible pipework

Its much more useable if its warmed. Not easy to achieve in November, but barrier pipe is always much more workable in the summer.

Sometimes, when its been really cold, I have piped up, turned heating on, and finished positioning/clipping the pipes as they heat up. Not always feasible, but really pliable when hot!

Thank you very much guys for sharing your experiences.........at least i now know that it is not only me that hates them!!

Anybody attempted to use plastic in my house i would throw them out. DIY and lazy, get it done proper in copper , then its done right
