hi can anyone help please we had a burst watermain on xmas day and for some reason the pressure on my boiler dropped to below 1 when they fixed the problem the pressure came back problem know is my system will not stop building pressure to over 3bar i have taken water out of a radiator and turned prv but system still builds pressure any advice would be much appreciated thanks

is it a combi or system boiler and how old, you need to check the filling loop
hi its a combi turbo max plus 824 10 years old i have used filling loop and made sure this was turned off no key on it so i used a screwdriver filled it to 1.5 after an hour or so system up to 2.5+
does the pressure guage stop at 2.5 or carry on?
it keeps going almost into red when it got that high last night i turned prv and water was relested out side house from a 15mm pipe i then turned off system compleatly check it htis morning and it was back up to 3bar
id check the filling loop isnt passing water it looks like it is, if not you have expansion issues and will need a gas safe engineer
