Hi all,
im having a full system put in my house and want to install the pipes myself to save on cost.

Would anybody know where I could find a diagram telling me exactly how I would need to install the pipework between radiators, and for the taps / drains etc from a combi-boiler setup.

Also, is it true that plastic pipes aren't good enough to use for a full system, have been told they are no use and will fail after a short time - Sounds like ****** to me but I have to ask.

Much appreciated.

not when fitted correctly
all new builds are going this way.

THe easiest way is to use a manifold system, Take 22mm copper flow and return pipes upstairs and down, put plastic manifolds on and pipe up using 10mm from manifold to rad that way there's no joints on pipework under floors.
