can anyone tell me why i keep having electric shocks,when i turn on the cold water tap,only happens down stairs and when i have no shoes on.THANKS.And is it dangerous.

Yes, very dangerous, why is it happening, ask an electrician, post this in the UK electrics forum. But I suspect they will tell you to have it looked at by an electrician.
