I have just fitted a steel bath, but it came with no bracing instructions and as it seemed sturdy enough i made no attempts to. It has been in use with no support frame with no trauma and i am now wanting to tile around bath edge (wall on three of sides), should I proceed or should i be strengthening bath first? Please help

silicone the bath to the wall on all three sides.

secure feet if poss.

consider supporting the bath at the edges by fixing some wood to the wall to support it

job done

make sure its level....saves time when tiling...if its bang on level u could even go off from the bath with a full tile !

 thankyou so much. Im gonna put few wooden legs in for support, then my rightangled bath trim tiles. Using water resistant grout and silicone sealant, not water proof grout (this should be ok?) Much love I was losing plot due to disparaging plumber and his upturned nose - IOU Jame.
