Hello,

I recently had a loft hatch installed and the installier supplied a bare 18mm plywood sheet.

I've sanded primed and painted the flat sides and they look fine for its purpose, but the edges look a bit meh... It's for a loft hatch, so does not have to be perfect, but does anyone have any suggestions how I can redo/smoothen the sides? Little bits of individual ply sheets missing so there are a few holes/gap around the perimeter of the board. Not sure of wood filler will give a decent finish here, perhaps best just several coats of paint?

yes, trimmed with a hardwood edge is the better job - filling sanding, filling sanding, filling sanding is never the sucess you think it will be.
