fixing a mates pc, (long story) gave up, formated hd, reinstalled win 98 (that what he has) realised i have win xp home upgrade cd, (never used)put it on, all working, but seemed slow. loaded othe progs on, still slow, scratching head, nothing wrong i can see / think of, i already know its a amd athlon something nearly 1g,
finaly penny drops, check RAM, ony 90m, added more now 340 much better.
