We are looking at laying a concrete floor (polished) in our kitchen, however at this time the floor is laid with traditional wooden floorboards- is there anyway to lay concrete on top of these?
Secondly can anyone tell me the difference between a polished concrete floor and a resin floor? Which would be more suitable for a kitchen?
Thanks!

no you cant lay on top of the floorboards. A polished concrete floor is normally power troweled to a dense finish and then 'polished' to a shine.

A epoxy/resin floor is epoxy applied to the top of the concrete. Bit like a varnish on top.

A polished floor will absorb grease and fat etc from cooking and be stainned. A epoxy floor wont.
