Hi there,

Have polypipe UFH. Was away this week and the rcd tripped. Came home and UFH wasn’t working. Checked usual things and eventually got it back on with replacing fuse. Weirdly now though only 2/3 zones are working ( I can feel them warm). The one not working is my main big area. Weirdly only got 1 light on the zone panel for zone 3 lit up red light, the other two are not lit up? Any suggestions?

First as a work round unscrew heads on non working zones and they will come on whenever other zones are working.
After that have you a multimeter and are competent to work with mains voltage?

As in take the actuators off?
Yes, when the working zone calls for heat, all the loops will warm up.

What controls each zone? Do they have separate thermostats? Are they wireless or hardwired to the controller? Number 3 actuator seems to be missing?

As suggested, next step would be testing the connections but that may mean working with mains voltage, hence the safety query from @Exedon

I’ve got 3 thermostats for the 3 zones. took the actuators off and it worked fine.

however, it tripped again after a day and the fuse blew again in the polypipe control centre and it’s quite a big blow in that it blackened the fuse. On the mains rcd fuse box, this rcd is connected to boiler, under stairs lights and the UFH boxes. I’ve tried a few times now and it’s blown 3 fuses.

Should I try rewriting it again?I triple checked the fuses and I’m definitely using the recommended ones? I’m certain there is nothing wrong with the actual UFH as it was all working fine - why is it tripping and blowing the fuse?

Anyone had similar?
