I am really really keen to get some form of pool to get wet in in the back garden. After some recent work, I had an idea.
I found that the BS 50mm thick concrete paving slabs are incredably strong and I was wondering if they would make a good edging.
Basic thought would be do dig a hole (no more than 2x2m 1m deep) with a seat area shelf in there somewhere. Line the whole hole with some form of reinforcing mesh then pour in a foundation in at the bottom. Line the eges with BS slabs (inside the mesh) and back fill with more concrete. Repeat the following steps for the seat area and build up to the top (allowing space for a waste trap).
After all the concrete and slabs are in and dry, line the whole thing with pool liner.
Any obvious problems with this idea?
Cheers,
Sam.
