Hi

Vented system on a Y plan. Drained system to replace radiators. refilled. central heating fine but the hot pressure through hot taps is very poor.

Its got good cold pressure. Is it possible it could have air lock?

thanx

Unlikely to be that as the heating circuit is seperate unless it is a primatic tank. I take it the pressure was fine before?

I'm guessing you switched the water off an then opened the hot tap and drained the central heating.
Most likely you have drain dirt into the cold feed to the hot tank.
Or other possibility is as you say an air lock.

If you have a mixer tap hold your hand over the spout with a towel, turn on the hot and then cold and it should force the air out.

Turn on your hot water (via the boiler or immersion heater) and leave it overnight.

Should sort it.

Should it? What if has a dual spout, which most mixers do?
