I live in an area which doesn't have the best water pressure.

I have a pressure washer for cleaning patio etc but does anyone know if you can get a device that fits to an outside tap which a general hosepipe can attach to that will increase pressure when watering the garden ?

Was thinking along the lines of some kind of pump device.

you are not allowed to pump mains water.

you could fill a water butt and buy a pump and put that in the water butt

You can legally pump up to 12 litres per minute from the mains. This is only of any use if you pump this into an accumulator and store the water under pressure. There are patented systems available on the market which allow you to do this.
