Hi, just looking for some advice on how to go about treating an area of rising damp in front porch.
The previous owners, had raised the drive too high ( pics attached)and I was seeing the rain splash going above the the dpc.
I cut out a channel around the brickwork to see if this would help, but it hasn't made any difference. The plan is to get the front drive all done, but at the moment I need to sort out the rising damp that I can see in the porch area.

I've had a couple of people out, but been let down by them. So any advice would be appreciated. As I was only seeing the damp in this one area I was goin to install dryrods , a course up internally from the floorboards. But, this would be higher than the original dpc? Would that be enough or would I need to also to install dryrods to the external side of the wall , but this will be below the level of the step and I reckon the step hasn't got any dpm underneath.
the original dpc looks to be bitumen.

Just to add some more information, when it's been raining, this is when it looks wet inside and from outside, you can see how damp the wall is getting in the porch in that area. The porch was rendered with Wetherby render, so wasn't expecting to see damp patches. Does this confirm the dpc needed redoing in this area? Would the render need removing? It does dry out and there is no staining on the wall in the porch.

This was like this before we removed the porch sliding doors. There was signs of damp in this area, but the builder I had in, didn't deal with it properly at the time.
