POTTERTON BOILER THAT WONT SWITCH OFF.

Central heating suddenly stopped switching off. I have changed the controller unit but to no avail...Could it be the PCB or some obscure valve or other.
I am currently switching off at the consumer unit....Help!

It could be all of the above and more but no one here can tell as you have not mentioned the model of the boiler etc.
