potterton gold combi making whistling noise

Hi everyone just an update.
took inlet cartridge out where the hall sensor is fastened too it didn't look bad at all, cleaned it and put it back in the whistling is still there but not as loud so this looks like it could be the problem, will now order the whole inlet cartridge and replace hope this sorts it out.
Will post back when I've changed the part with the outcome.

Would it not be cheaper to engage services of a heating engineer rather than throw parts at the boiler? What will you do when you attempt to change the part and boiler starts leaking/ new part makes no difference.

A service engineer will have the necessary parts and skills to fix the problem
