Hi, I have a Potterton Performa 24, and it seems to have an intermittent fault when it calls for the burner to come on. If I turn on the heating or hot water you can hear the pump and the fan kick in but sometimes it takes maybe 10-15 secs to fire up, when it fires up sometimes the burner light indicator flickers on / off but other times it works as normal. There seems to be no rhyme or reason to it. I had a quick look in the flue just in case it was blocked but it looks ok, also it was quite windy outside so I wonder if the fan is at fault, or perhaps a sensor.

It had a new pcb about 4 years ago, so I'm hoping its not that.

Any ideas would be appreciated. Or any diagnosis tests before I call out a professional.

Thanks in advance

I just though I would post how I solved my issue in case someone has similar.I managed to solve the issue by unplugging all the sensors then plugging them back in and also I noticed the dhw sensor at the front had bent cables where the door catches them so I re routed them so hopefully they dont rub any more. Touch wood it's been working the past few days with no problems. I just hope it continues :)

Great stuff, your feed back will help others.

But dont forget the mains/power outage during your un/plugging could give a false conclusion.
