My Potterton boiler is failing to light in the current cold snap in the mornings, but by 2pm it starts up!In the mornings there is no pilot light; you can hear it trying to start and failing. I have turned up the room thermostat to high, and put the CH setting on continuous. Our plumber thought it might be the PCB and/or the fan; and he tested the pressure switch which is working. He blew oxygen into the system after which the boiler started up fine. We assumed the flue must have been blocked but I checked it and it seemed clear, there was no evidence of frost. If the boiler eventually lights on its own does that suggest the PCB and the fan do work and do not need replacing? ( quite expensive, each approx £200+)? Any suggestions ?[/u]
