Heed help my Potterton PTT1 tankstat has blown and i don't seem to be able to get a replacement.
Does anybody know what is the best way to replace this?Would this Honeywell L641 Cylinder Thermostat do the job? or would i need to rewire.

I've got som if you want one. Email addr is in my Profile. Go up a level and click on my name, they don't like us including them for some reason I still can't fathom.
Otherwise, the stat may have been used as an improvement over the normal types of bimetallic strip cyl stat (which is where I use them), or it is possile they were used in a dedicated system I don't know anything about. Hard to establish this one, as it isn't really fair to expect you to know what "normal" vs dedicated systems would look like!
Third option - I think there's a PTT2 now.

I think that PTT1 is the cylinder stat and PTT2 is the room stat.

I have used them in the past and they are much more accurate and responsive than the bimetallic versions. Also I like the boost button on the cylinder stat.

Can always get them from http://www.abtap.com.
