Hi

Does anyone know if it is possible to replace a Potterton PRT2 thermostat with a Honeywell CM702 and what the wiring for it would be?

The Potterton has 4 wires, Live, Neutral, Switch & live link wire and the Honeywell only has A, B & C terminals.

This is on a Gledhill 2000 which is approx 4 years old.

Thanks

Do you know what wire goes where?

Tried

A - Live
B - Neutral
C - Switch

But all this did was trip the power and the boiler did not work.

Any idea of the proper wiring?

We would just look up the mfrs websites. If you do that and still can't suss it, post the links here ;)

Your new stat doea not need the neutral.

put a connector over the wire

then live to 'A'

And switched live to 'B'

although if heating is then on when it should be off and off when it should be on then swap that to 'C'

Hi

Thanks for the help, The thermostat works perfectly with the following connections.

A - Live

B - Switch
