Potterton Puma 80 boiler has stopped working.
Mains light and low pressure system lights are on, fan is working, but no HW or CH.
I checked the CH pressure gauge; it showed 1 bar. I turned on the filling loop and filled up until at 2bar. I've turned everything back on and there is still no HW or CH and the low pressure system light is still on.
Any ideas?

ps It has a new PCB after the old one stopped working approx. 6 months ago.

the water pressure switch inside the boiler (the one with 2 yellow wires going to it) is either faulty or the waterways leading to it are blocked.

thanks,

could this be to do with water scale? I live in west London with hard water, but the boiler runs striaght of the mains.

Also, once of twice recently, the central heating has come on automatically, and only turning on the hot water for a few seconds can turn it off again. Was this a warning that the pressure flow switch was on the way out?

NO, that one is caused by the domestic hot water flow switch sticking. Standard Puma stuff - they're really quite good for business. Next your diverter valve will pack up leaving you with HW but no CH, then the pump, similar symptoms with additional lockouts, then a dripping tap will stop the CH coming on...
Where in W London - I'm near Wimbledon.
