Hi
My boiler is losing water pressure, have to recharge every couple of days.
Today I let out the system water pressure until it read zero on the gauge.
Tested the expansion vessel and almost nothing in it.
Recharged with pump to 1 bar and noticed the boiler water pressure gauge had risen to 1 bar also.
Does this indicate a faulty pressure vessel membrane allowing the air pressure into the water side?
Thanks

No, it just shows that you did not follow the correct procedure for repressurising the air in the EXV.

you MUST leave a drain point open when you re-pressurise the EV as the water that is in there needs somewhere to escape to so you can completely inflate the membrane, there is no other way of doing this
