Hi, I have (foolishly) bought a B & Q "select unwind" tapset on the understanding that it would work with low pressure systems... the B & Q brochure indicates that it does not require high pressure.
We have a gravity fed sytem and find that we are getting poor water flow ( 1gal per minute out of the tap)... which I presume is partly due to the 15mm braided flexi hoses which are integral to the unit (can't be unbolted and changed).
Have complained to B & Q and have now been told that the taps should really have been quoted 1 bar as the minimum pressure ... which would only work on my gravity fed system if I were to raise the cold water tank another 7 meters (which would be about 4 meters above the roof into the sky !)...
So with bath fitted and holes drilled, I am left with the possibility of pumping the taps. I think that I have identifed a 22mm pipe from the loft which carries the cold to the bath (and no other) and also a 22mm tee off the hot water plumbing which carries the hot to the bath. Luckiliy both are in the airing cupboard and there is power.
Due to B & Q original error...I may be able to get B&Q to give me a pump

It has to be cheaper for them to do this than replace all the parts.... my question is would this work (it has 22mm pipework) or is there a difference between shower pump and other (e.g. Stuart Turner monsson).
I will get a professional plumber in to assess my particular plumbing before going to far but would appreciate your assessment.
Thanks
Deag
