Hi
First post so please go easy! Checked the stickies and have a fair idea what's gone wrong but after some advice and recommendation of a local independent who can help.
So boiler stop lighting around 10 days ago, got a guy out who was very helpful but didn't know the Range Powermax too well. His diagnosis was that the pump wasn't running therefore the thermistor (?) was tripping the system. He checked the power to the pump, reset the trip and turned the pump up to 2.
All good for a week then tripped again. He came back and showed me hoe to reset myself. I should add that we're moving house in two weeks...
However it's gone a couple more times and not comfortable with moving out and leaving this issue for buyers.
Having done some research I think it's either the pump, faulty thermistor or faulty pump relay. Can anyone give me some advice on how much diagnosis and repair would be? Also a recommendation of some local to North Birmingham? Have seen the Heateam fixed service but if it's something simple maybe cheaper to have an I dependant fix?
Thanks
Jon
