I have been asked to decorate a kitchen which has had the paper stripped off both the walls and ceiling. The problem is that the plaster board walls, as well as the ceiling have been stripped of the surface coating i.e. back to the paper of the plaster board. (Hope I've explained this correctly). What should/can I do to prepare the walls/ceiling to be able to apply wall paper.

Cheers

One coat of drywall sealer protects plasterboard from steam stripper.

One option is to smooth surfaces with Easifill and seal before papering.

PS: 2 coats of sealer work as a vapour barrier.

Thanks for the reply ajrob, I've not been on-line for a few days so didn't thank you earlier.
