Was this it had a start stop buttonThe pressure relief, PRD, operates at ~ 1.38bar and is on the outlet of the shower, all these showers are designed to give full flow at 1.0bar after the temperature control/ stabilising valve so could be caused by heating can scaling, blocked shower head or kinked shower hose, a non standard shower head atachment especilly if it has a stop/start buton will also cause it.
Thanks, so the pressure to the priority is 3 bar. This is then knocked down by the temperature control knob to 1bar? So only thing that can cause a surge in pressure is a kinked shower hose/head?
Thanks so there is only really main pressure in the shower up to the solenoid valve? The temperature control knob doesn't limit the pressure, it only restricts the flow. If the shower head, or flexible hose is restricted, then the pressure in the unit can rise to mains water pressure, at which point something has to give - which is where the PRD opens, designed to avoid more expensive damage.
Thanks so there is only really main pressure in the shower up to the solenoid valve?
