PROBLEM WITH BATH TAP DIVERTER

Hi, the other day while running a bath I switched from bath flow to shower flow using the diverter valve. When I switched back to bath flow a number of black plastic bits came out of the tap and the diverter lever became 'loose' and it is now difficult to control the switching from bath to shower.

I think the plastic was some sort of 'stopper' that controlled the movement of the diverter lever.

Can I get this as a spare part? What would it be called?

I have searched the net but am not having much luck.

Do I need to replace the whole tap mixer?

TIA.

you can repair these depending on the quality and make of the mixer.
if it's a quality brand the parts can be obtained.

Hi Seco,

Thanks for the fast response.

I've no idea on the brand?

Is there anything in particular I should look for on the tap itself??
