Hiya All,
I have an issue with my controller (honeywell cm67) and my boiler (potterton 24 performa) in that if i set my controller to manual the boiler shows a flamer failure light and fails to start up. However when i play around with the controller by inputting a program and pushing the time past the current time i suddenly hear the fan kick in, i can then go to my boiler and switch on and then it works fine, however when i trying changing my controller back to manual the boiler goes into flame failure mode. I am totally confused by this and as you may be able to tell am a complete novice. Please can someone provide some info that may help me. Thanks in advance.

Check correcttly wired L and N, terminals 1 and 2 used?

Otherwise this is a coincidence, the problem is with the boiler, the gas valve or the flame rectification probe may need adjusting.
